Twisters 2024 is a American disaster movie. Lee Isaac Chung directed it. Mark L. Smith wrote the screenplay. Joseph Kosinski came up with the story. It is a sequel to “Twister” (1996). The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. Anthony Ramos and Brandon Perea also act in it. Maura Tierney and Sasha Lane are in it too. Moreover the story is about storm chasers. Furthermore they try to launch barrels into a tornado. The barrels contain a sodium polyacrylate solution. Finally the goal is to reduce the tornado’s strength.
Twisters 2024 premiered in London on July 8, 2024. Warner Bros. Moreover pictures released it worldwide on July 10. Universal Pictures released it in the US on July 19. In fact critics gave it good reviews. Additionally the film has earned $123 million worldwide.

Twisters 2024 Story
Firstly Kate Carter works with storm chasers in Oklahoma. Secondly her team includes Javi, Addy, Praveen, and Jeb. Clearly they use a Doppler system called Dorothy V. They launch barrels into a tornado. The barrels contain a sodium polyacrylate solution. The goal is to reduce the tornado’s strength. The tornado grows into an EF5. Addy, Praveen, and Jeb die. Kate and Javi survive.
Five years later, Kate works in New York City. Then Javi offers her a job to test a tornado scanner. Kate agrees after seeing a tornado destroy a town. Then they join Javi’s team in Oklahoma. Also Javi’s business partner is Scott. Tyler Owens is a popular storm chaser. He arrives with his crew and an English journalist, Ben. They chase an EF1 tornado. Kate has a panic attack and drives away. The team launches the scanner for an EF3 tornado. The scanner fails due to strong winds. Similarly Kate and Javi help recovery efforts in Crystal Springs. Also Kate learns Tyler’s team helps tornado victims. She also learns Storm Par investor Riggs profiteers from tornado damage.

Moreover Tyler invites Kate to a rodeo. They bond. An EF4 tornado hits. Finally they take shelter in a motel pool. Nevertheless Kate and Javi argue about Riggs. Javi blames Kate for their colleagues’ deaths. Kate goes to her mother’s farm in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Tyler follows her. He learns about Kate’s tornado disruption experiment. Kate declines his help but later accepts. They release the solution into a tornado. It fails to dissipate. Javi provides scanning data. Kate hypothesizes a change to the experiment. She adds silver iodide.
They track a tornado near El Reno. Finally Javi and Scott’s truck nearly overturns. However they escape as the tornado catches fire. The tornado intensifies to an EF5. Javi heads to El Reno to help. Scott pressures him to continue their mission. Javi abandons Scott and quits Storm Par. Kate, Tyler, and the team evacuate townsfolk. Tyler gets trapped by a streetcar.
Nevertheless Javi and Kate rescue him. However they hide in a movie theater. Kate drives Tyler’s truck into the tornado. Then she launches the solution. The vehicle overturns. The tornado rips the theater open. Tyler saves Lily as the tornado weakens. In fact the team rescues Kate and celebrates.
Finally Javi drops Kate at the airport. Furthermore he promises more research. Kate heads for her plane. Yet a PA announces strong winds delay flights. Tyler appears and reconciles with Kate. They leave in his truck. A closing montage shows their new business. Ben’s story focuses on Kate instead of Tyler.
