Police confirmed that a search of the room revealed medications, including clonazepam, which is used for epilepsy and panic disorders.

More candle and aluminum foil remnants were discovered in the bathtub of Liam Payne’s suite. The tub’s bottom was stained and showed signs of burns.

A recording of the 911 call from the hotel manager revealed his urgent plea for help. He stated, “I’m calling from the Casa Sur hotel in Palermo. We have a guest who is over the top with drugs and is breaking up the entire room. We need someone to come.”

The call abruptly cuts off, and in a second call, the manager adds, “When he is conscious, he is breaking up the room.”

The emergency operator urgently asked the hotel manager if the guest was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. Concerned for safety, the manager expressed fear about the room’s balcony, saying, “Send only SAME, only SAME,” referring to the city’s emergency paramedic service.

Liam Payne had arrived in South America with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, on September 30, extending their trip after initially planning to stay for just five days. During their time in Argentina, he reunited with Niall Horan at a concert on October 2.

On October 12, Cassidy returned to Florida, stating, “I just need to go home,” while Payne remained at the Casa Sur hotel alone. Just two days before his death, it was reported that his ex-fiancée, Maya Henry, had begun legal proceedings against him for alleged harassment.

On October 14, Payne posted videos on social media, jokingly calling Cassidy a “loser” for leaving. Later that day, police were called regarding an aggressive man, believed to be under the influence.

New footage broadcast by America TV showed Payne wearing a white sleeveless top, displaying his tattoos, shortly before he entered the elevator to his room. Following the news of his death, fans gathered outside the Palermo hotel for a candle-lit vigil, laying flowers and heartfelt messages.

His body was transferred to the judicial morgue for examination.
