Yahya Sinwar Hamas Leader Eliminated . The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Thursday that three terrorists were eliminated during operations in Gaza, potentially including Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, a key figure behind the October 7 attacks. The IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) are investigating the possibility of Sinwar’s death, but identities of the terrorists have not been officially confirmed.
In a post on X, the IDF stated, “During IDF operations in Gaza, 3 terrorists were eliminated. The IDF and ISA are checking the possibility that one of the terrorists was Yahya Sinwar.” The post also noted that there were no signs of hostages in the area where the operations took place, and the military is proceeding with caution.
This announcement follows the recent elimination of other high-ranking Hamas officials, including Rawhi Mushtaha and Sameh al-Siraj. Just days prior, around 20 Hamas operatives were reported killed in airstrikes and close-quarters combat in Jabaliya. The military has also destroyed weapons depots amid ongoing fighting.
