Episode 4 Good partner begins with” Eun-kyung asks Yu-ri to handle her divorce case. Firstly she has collected evidence of her husband’s affair with Choi Sa-ra. Eun-kyung held onto the evidence to avoid divorce. Now, seeing the couple together, she wants a high-profile trial.
The next day, Choi Sa-ra gets a court notice about the affair. Eun-kyung’s husband also receives evidence with the lawsuit. Moreover Yu-ri wonders why Eun-kyung chose her. Eun-kyung values Yu-ri’s unique perspective.
Then Yu-ri and Eun-kyung meet a CEO seeking a divorce. Also the CEO’s ex-wife wants shares from his company. The couple separated before the company went public. Eun-kyung’s husband and Sa-ra hire a senior criminal lawyer for their case. Eun-kyung’s husband, Ji-sang, wants custody of their daughter.
Episode 4, In court, evidence shows the CEO sent money to his ex-wife. But he wanted to support his family as the “breadwinner.” Eun-kyung advises him to stop sending money and accept the separation. She believes he has “chained himself” to the terms.
Eun-kyung reschedules the court date so the CEO’s daughter can testify later. Eun-kyung asks Yu-ri to pick up her daughter. Yu-ri is amused by how much the daughter resembles Eun-kyung. The daughter knows about the divorce.
Later, Yu-ri and Eun-ho drink too much and wake up in a motel. Yu-ri sneaks out, leaving Eun-ho behind. They avoid each other awkwardly afterward.
Eun-kyung’s divorce news leaks online, angering the law firm’s CEO. Woo-jin handles the issue. Eun-kyung and her husband discuss the case, and he emotionally blackmails her. He calls her an absent mother and questions her parenting.
Ending Explained
The CEO’s wife visits, wanting to settle. The CEO is unsure whether to continue. At the final hearing, Eun-kyung and Yu-ri present a handwritten confession from the CEO’s daughter. The confession proves the parents separated before the company went public. They win the case.
Episode 4 Good partner, During dinner, Eun-kyung says she will not give her assets to her husband. The next day, Yu-ri receives a court notice. It claims Woo-jin is Eun-kyung’s office husband and implies an affair. The episode ends with Yu-ri finding Eun-kyung and Woo-jin in a compromising position.
