My Sweet Mobster episode 1 begins in 2023. Seo Ji Hwan, once the son of a notorious goon, decides to start a new life. He gathers his former associates to launch a business. However, they encounter dead bodies instead of the person they are looking for. Ji Hwan orders his team to dispose of the bodies and clean up the mess. Later, Ji Hwan heads to a club. There, Go Eun Ha, the heroine, arrives with a friend still in her uniform. She nearly falls, but Ji Hwan catches her just in time.
Seo Ji Hwan goes to the club and sees drugs being added to liquor. He starts throwing bottles and causing a commotion. Go Eun Ha’s coat is missing, and everyone mistakes her for a police officer because of her uniform, urging her to arrest Seo Ji Hwan. The real police arrive, and Go Eun Ha, a TV show anchor, and her friend flee. Seo Ji Hwan, just out of jail, receives a warning about a new drug disguised as candy. He recalls seeing drug candy in Go Eun Ha’s hand at the bar that day.
Seo Ji Hwan finally confronts Go Eun Ha, catching her arm as she tries to escape. He asks if the candy she had was a drug, and Go Eun Ha denies it, eating the candy to prove her point. Seo Ji Hwan goes to the hospital and discovers it was just regular candy. Meanwhile, the bar owner is found with drug candy. In another scene, the public prosecutor, Jang Hyeon U, reviews a case and pays special attention to a particular name. Seo Ji Hwan, now out of jail, is running a food business.
The employees show Seo Ji Hwan their new product, and Go Eun Ha prepares for a children’s program. On the day of the program, Seo Ji Hwan’s product is brought for sampling. Seo Ji Hwan goes to check on it and unexpectedly meets Go Eun Ha. Upon seeing her, Seo Ji Hwan feels something special and wonders if it might be love.
After the program, Seo Ji Hwan goes to the washroom and returns, bumping into Go Eun Ha, who is cleaning the floor. As Seo Ji Hwan climbs a ladder, he slips and is about to fall. Go Eun Ha catches him but, upon realizing it is Seo Ji Hwan, she immediately lets go. The episode ends with Go Eun Ha shocked, seeing Seo Ji Hwan lying unconscious on the floor.
