Episode 5
Red Swan Episode 5 starts with Oh Wan-Soo reflecting on her troubled past with her mother. Firstly Her mother, a gambler, apologizes to Wan-Soo at the psychiatric clinic for gambling away her hard-earned money. Wan-Soo’s mother soon passes away, leaving Wan-Soo distraught.
Wan-Soo remembers her mother hiding from loan sharks and arranging for her daughter’s golf career abroad. After her mother’s death, Wan-Soo seeks revenge against Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran, who kept her mother in the psychiatric ward.
The next day, Mi-Ran asks Wan-Soo to meet with Chinese ambassadors for a duty-free shop deal. Wan-Soo wants to attend her mother’s funeral, but Mi-Ran blackmails her into attending the meeting. Wan-Soo’s brother handles the funeral arrangements.
During the meeting, Mi-Ran’s plan seems successful. Afterward, Wan-Soo gives her mother a proper funeral. She and Do-Yoon visit her old home, where she opens up about losing her son. Do-Yoon comforts her, but a spy photographs them and sends the pictures to Mi-Ran.
Wan-Soo’s husband, Yong-Guk, punches Do-Yoon, suspecting an affair. Then Mi-Ran advises Yong-Guk to be cautious to retain Hwain Group’s management and keep their money laundering secret.
Wan-Soo checks on Do-Yoon after the fight. Do-Yoon reveals details about Chairman Kim Duo’s murder and his friend’s death while investigating. They suspect the same person is now targeting Wan-Soo. Wan-Soo asks Do-Yoon to prove the person is part of Hwain Group.
Do-Yoon investigates further, visiting the Eight Star gang’s casino. He suspects security head Park Kyeong-Ju is involved in Ju-Hyuk’s death. Then Kyeong-Ju reveals Yong-Guk’s money laundering. Do-Yoon learns Chairman Kim Duo’s death was framed as a heart attack.
Red Swan Episode 5 Ending Explained
Do-Yoon promises to find justice for Ju-Hyuk. He updates Wan-Soo, who asks him to investigate Mr. Han, who manages the conglomerate’s slush funds.
Then Wan-Soo endorses a cosmetics brand, causing a conflict with her in-laws. On the way back from an event, Wan-Soo and Do-Yoon face a fatal attack. An unknown man starts firing at their car, leaving their fate uncertain.
