Sweet Home Season 3 Episode 1 begins with Monster Hyun-su. Firstly He explains he is part of Hyun-su and is letting his human side rest. Secondly Eun-yu confronts him, bringing Human Hyun-su back.
At Bamseom, Ui-myeong, also known as Sang-won, shows Lim his original body. The doctor connects the pieces. Then a flashback shows Lim provoking a tied-up Sang-won by calling Yi-kyung. But she is trapped in Green Home and cannot pick up the call. Lim claims she is dead.
Sang-won evolves and escapes his body, possessing Ui-myeong and then Sang-wook. Sang-won thanks Lim instead of killing him. They go to Chi-seong, who Lim recognizes as Patient MH3. Chi-seong, angry at Lim, tortures Sergeant Kim and his men. The MHs give Kim a gun and tie Choi Yong-seok, Jong-hyun, and Seo-jin to the ceiling. Kim can only save one of them.

Finally Kim shoots one of the MHs, causing Jong-hyun’s death. He pretends to kill Seo-jin but frees him instead. They evade monsters on the ground. Sang-won, bored, orders child MH Ja-yeong to kill the humans. Meanwhile, Hyun-su tries to save Yi-kyung, believing she can be human again. Eun-yu wants to help but is told to stay back. Hyun-su enters Yi-kyung’s mind and sees Monster Yi-kyung tormenting her human side.
Chan-young, worrying about Eun-yu, heads back home. Ha-ni appears. At Bamseom, Seok-chan arrives with a flamethrower. Ja-yeong warns him, but Seo-jin is fatally injured. Ja-yeong kills the monsters, allowing Seok-chan to reach Seo-jin and Kim.
Yi-kyung’s daughter, Mystery Girl, heads to the stadium. The Stadium Survivors notice Seung-wan missing and fear he is the monster. Chief Ji tries to get Ye-seul to leave. Ji is not her mother; her real mother died last year. Ji drags Ye-seul to the basement where her monster son is. Ye-seul knocks Ji out. Tak hears the noise, but his men cannot find the basement door.

Sweet Home Season 3 Episode 1 ends with, Ha-ni and Chan-young arrive at the pit where Eun-yu waits. A monster jumps in. Chan-young and Eun-yu defend Hyun-su and Yi-kyung. A rope catches fire. Chan-young tells Ha-ni to save Eun-yu and fights alone. Hyun-su finally reaches Yi-kyung and returns to the real world. He kills the monster and saves Chan-young and Yi-kyung. Her body heals, and her eyes become human. The recap ends.
